The Bridge Has Arrived

Yes, this weekend it's ALL about celebrating the magnificent Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. We are truly lucky to have such a masterpiece by internationally reknown Santiago Calatrava. Tonight is the ticketed party on the bridge with musicians, vendors, celebrity chefs and then a magical fireworks show at 10 pm! Then tomorrow morning is the race followed by a full day of FREE activities (a 1 pm butterfly release on the west end too) open to all to enjoy and Sunday is the morning invocation and ceremony. For more information click here. Enjoy and partake on this momentous occasion for our city. I'm so proud!

DMA Late Night - Gaultier Style

Last Friday evening the Dallas Museum of Art hosted their monthly Friday Late Night (3rd Friday of the Month, open til midnight). It was so incredibly exciting to see thousands (literally thousands) of people of ALL ages walking up and down the corridors, enjoying the music, food, exhibits and all the fun and interesting activities the DMA has put together. I was so impressed! With the Gaultier exhibit closing in a few weeks there were tons of women dressed up in the most fabulous avante-garde outfits...so fun to see so many people expressing themselves this way. Above is a picture I captured of a girl who had Diet Coke cans as rollers. Too fun!

Below is a lovely quote projected in light on a small entrance that I found so simple, beautiful and appropriate for the evening.
