It's Summer- Now What? ...First Saturday's at Dallas' Arts District!

It's officially summer in Dallas and the Arts District has you covered for fun activities to do with your kids this Saturday, June 7th!  You will want to make a day of exploring all that Dallas' art scene has to offer.

Target First Saturday:  Bring the kids and enjoy free admission and fun family programming on the first Saturday of every month, presented by Target. Target First Saturdays are designed especially for children in preschool to elementary school and feature a line-up of activities that encourage creative thought and bring out your children’s artistic talents. Children learn about this month’s Big Idea– “Neighborhood”– as they engage in a Happy Homes art project.  Art activities, yoga, storytime, and more!

Adventure Asia: Family Days at the Crow:  Sail Away to Asia!  Join the Crow Collection of Asian Art as they celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival and learn about this unique and exciting Chinese holiday. Experience real dragon boats firsthand and become versed in their history and cultural meaning. Create a replica dragon boat and even make your own sailor hat to wear on your voyage around the world and back. Join us as we sail away to China.

Family Experiments with the Perot Museum: Science is closer than you think! Families, join educators from the Perot Museum of Nature and Science to for fun family experiments on first Saturdays in Klyde Warren Park. Each month will feature a new topic with hands-on investigation and experimentation. The theme for June is: Intergalactic! Identify the stars in your neighborhood sky and explore the mysteries of space.
